The opening title sequence for Netflix’s Ray, much like the show, is a modern take on Satyajit Ray’s own style. Bold, graphic illustrations harken back to each of the four stories of the anthology, without giving away too much. A blend of digital techniques and analog textures give this sequence its unique, hand-done look; much of the frames are painstakingly painted frame-by-frame, and composited digitally. As longtime Satyajit Ray fans, we snuck in a couple of easter eggs – did you spot them all?
